The bride is the daughter of Mike Smashey of New London, and Joy Newland of Hannibal. The groom is the son of Ed and Twylla Brown of Perry.
Heather Smashey, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Wade Brown, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Top of the World restaurant in the Stratosphere Tower.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Mark Twain High School, and a 2000 graduate of the Abbott Academy of Cosme-tology. She is employed as a cosmetologist at JC Penney's Salon in Hannibal.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Mark Twain High School, and a 1998 graduate of the University of Missouri. He is the business manager of Ed Brown Custom, Inc., and the owner of Cyber-net Consulting.
The couple is residing near Perry.
