Johnny and Dianne Abbott of Hannibal have announced the engagement of their son, James Robert Abbott, to Hannah Estel Fleer.
She is the daughter of Kim and Monica Fleer of Lewistown.
The prospective bride graduated from Highland High School in 2002.
The prospective bridegroom graduated from Hannibal High School in 1998.
Both are attending Hannibal-LaGrange College, majoring in business.
The wedding is planned for June 5, at Fifth Street Baptist Church in Hannibal.
