Watkins - Sproull
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sims Watkins of Troy announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Renea Watkins, to John Patrick Sproull, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Andrew Sproull Sr., of Kennesaw, Ga., and formerly of Dothan.
The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Patricia Pruitt Watkins.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Cecil Watkins Sr. and the late Mr. Watkins of Troy and the late Alphia Kemp of Troy and the late J.C Pruitt of Gadsen.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Auburn University, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority.
She is employed in Birmingham at McGriff, Seibels and Williams Inc.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dean R. Shakely of Parker, Penn.; Mr. and Mrs. John C. Botts of Brooksville, Fla.; and the late James L. Sproull of Parker.
He received his undergraduate and master's degrees from Auburn University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order.
He is employed in Birmingham at Price-Waterhouse-Coopers LLP.
The wedding ceremony will take place on the evening of Dec. 12, 2003, in the Mayan Riveria.
