Mrs. Benjamin Joe Barron of Troy announces the engagement of her daughter, Gwendolyn Lorraine Barron, to Russell Glenndon White, Jr., son of Louise M. White of Orlando, Fla.
The bride-elect is the grand-daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bowden Barron of troy and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Austin of Troy.
She graduated from Troy State University will with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and is currently a teacher with Hillsborough County School System in Tampa, Fla.
He future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hopkins of Philadelphia, Penn.
He attended Delaware Valley College in Daylestown, Pen. He will be continuing his studies at Troy Statet University in the fall working toward a degree in psychology.
The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. Jan. 25, 2003, at Union Hill Methodist Church in Troy.
