Miss Lula Lambeth, of Thomasville, and Dr. Charles I. Allen, of Wadesboro, were married on Wednesday at 7 p. m. at the home of the bride's parents, Rev. W. A. Lambeth, cousin of the bride officiating.
Dr. and Mrs. Allen left after the ceremony for New York city where they will be for a month during Dr. Allen's attendance on a special course in surgery.
Mrs. Allen is well known in Charlotte, having graduated from the Presbyterian hospital training school.
She practiced her profession here for two years or more and has recently returned from 13 months' service in France as a member of hospital Unit O. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Lambeth, of Thomasville, and a sister of Mrs. Edwin L. Jones and Mr. S. D. Lambeth, of this city.
Dr. Allen is a prominent surgeon, of Wadesboro. He is widely known and highly respected by all who have the privilege of his acquaintance. He and his bride will be at home in Wadesboro following the completion of their stay in New York.
Attending the wedding from Charlotte were, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. S. D. Lambeth and several of the bride's friends among the nursing profession of the city.
