Bernadine Ransdall of Houston, Texas, and Fred Tate of Hannibal have announced the engagement of their daughter, Tricia N. Tate, to James R. White Jr.
He is the son of Nancy White of Quincy, Ill., and the late James R. White Sr.
The prospective bride graduated in 1998 from Mark Twain High School in Center and completed a class at Hannibal-LaGrange College in January 2001.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Palmyra High School and is employed at Buckhorn Rubber.
The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. May 26, 2001 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hannibal.
