KNOWLES - SIMONION

Miss Sylvia Knowles, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Knowles of St. George's School and formerly of Chestnut Hill, Pa., was married Saturday to Carter Buffington Simonion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene C. B. Simonion of Chestnut Hill, in St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church that community. The Rev Philomen F. Sturges, rector, officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, had her sister, Mrs. William, L. E. Sinkler as matron of honor and Miss Rosaline C. Hunter as maid of honor. Two of the brides sisters, Mrs William S. Rawls and Mrs. William Wurts Harmar Jr., and a sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. George Morris Piersol, Jr., were among the bridesmaids. The bridegroom's father was best man. A graduate of Springside School jn 1945, the bride is among the leading women tennis players in the country. Mr Simonin attended Episcopal Academy, served in the Army Air Forces during the war, and belongs to the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
