She earned a degree in child and family studies in 1999 from Northwest Missouri State University and is employed as a social service worker by the Division of Family Services in St. Joseph.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1994 graduate of Hannibal High School.
He earned a degree in agricultural business in 1999 from Northwest Missouri State University and is employed as a fashion lighting specialist by Lowe's Home Improvement in St. Joseph.
The wedding is planned for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Maryville.
A reception and dance will follow at the American Legion Hall.
