Downs - Katzman
Laura Marie Katzman, daughter of Mrs. Bonnie J. Katzman of Horicon, Wisc., and the late Mr. James W. Katzman, was married on June 12, 1999, to Christopher Charles Downs, son of Mrs. Peter Yurchak of Wellesley and the late Mr. John T. Downs.
The wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles H. Wester at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in LeRoy, Wisc. A reception followed at the Beaver Dam Country Club.
Brenda Healy attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Valerie Rodriguez and Julie Merk.
Matthew Downs, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Downs, brother of the groom, and Nathan Katzman, brother of the bride.
The bride graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, in 1992, and the groom graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1990. They each earned a master of science degree in Fish and Wildlife Management from Montana State University in Bozeman.
The bride is employed by Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks as a research specialist, and the groom is employed by Idaho Department of Fish and Game as a regional fishery biologist. They are living in Noxon, Mont.
Several weeks after the wedding, the groom's mother and stepfather, Peter Yurchak, hosted a party in Wellesley in honor of the newly married couple.
