Bethany Story marries Nicholas Jon Allen
Bethany Nichole Story and Nicholas Jon Allen were married
Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Saint Leo the Great Catholic
Church, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Father Johnathan Hanic presided over the 2 p.m. exchange of
vows. Music was provided by Lynne Goodwin, vocalist and
Eileen Mischinski, organist.
The bride is the daughter of Steven and Sheila Story of Mountain
City, Tennessee. She is the granddaughter of Marie McElyea
and the late Clarence McElyea of Mountain City, Tennessee and
the late Joann Bolick. She is the great-granddaughter of Veta
Mae Southard and the late Burl Southard of Lenoir, North Carolina.
Bethany is a 2001 graduate of Johnson County High School
and a 2004 graduate of East Tennessee State University. She is a
registered neonatal nurse at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem,
North Carolina and is currently pursuing her masters
degree at UNC, Greensboro.
The groom is the son of Gary and Cynthia Allen of Mocksville,
North Carolina. He is the grandson of Francis and Lucy Latif
and Alfred and Kay Allen, Bennington, Vermont.
Nicholas is a 1999 graduate of Port Saint Lucie High School,
Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He is employed by Noble’s Grille of
Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father,
the bride wore a white strapless a-line gown with beaded metallic
embroidery on the bodice and split back chapel length
train.
Matron of honor was Penny Allen, sister-in-law of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Angela Rhudy Carico, cousin of the bride,
Elizabeth Davis, Crystal Gray and Emily Stewart, friends of the
bride.
Flower girls were Courtney Cryan, cousin of the groom, Scout
and Greer Bolick, cousins of the bride.
Ring bearer was Conner Allen, nephew of the groom.
Best man was Michael Barcelona, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen were Michael Allen, brother of the groom, Matthew
Story, brother of the bride, Jon Stewart and Samuel Crossan,
friends of the groom. Alter boy was Ryan Latif, godson of the
groom.
Program attendant was Caitlyn Cryan, cousin of the groom.
Following a reception at Old Town Country Club, Winston-Salem,
North Carolina, the couple took a wedding trio to St.
Lucia, West Indies and now make their home in Winston-Salem,
North Carolina.
