Deena Layne Hensley and Michael Drew Reid were married
on Sunday, July 23, 2006. The Reverend Lamar Boulware officiated
at the 6 p.m. exchange of vows on the beautiful Ocean Isle
Beach, North Carolina.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Vicki Hensley, Mountain
City, Tennessee. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Carlton Holt of Hohenwald, Tennessee and Mr. and Mrs.
John Hensley of Kingsport, Tennessee.
The groom is the son of Terry and Norma Reid, Mountain City,
Tennessee. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Buford
Parris of Damascus, Virginia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Heird
Reid of Mountain City, Tennessee.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father,
the bride wore a Maggie Sottero one piece sleeveless chiffon
slim a-line gown with faux covered buttons down the back. The
gown featured Grecian draping on the shoulder line and crossed
over the bodice to reveal a beaded neckline. The layers of tiered
chiffon were edged with crystals to highlight the flattering asymmetrical
lines.
Maid of honor was Rebecca Boney, friend of the bride and
groom. Bridesmaids were Andrea Balkcom, friend of the bride
and Courtney Greene, friend of the bride and groom. The flower
girl was Addisyn Hensley, niece of the bride and the ring bearer
was Trey Snyder, nephew of the groom. Bill McMillan, friend of
the bride and groom was best man. Groomsmen were Jason
Poteet and Adam Leonard, friends of the bride and groom.
Following a reception at the Ocean Isle Inn, catered by Susie
and Tony Yoggerst of Mountain City, the couple took a honeymoon
to Cancun, Mexico.
