Ross, McGuire marry in January ceremony
April Ellen Ross and William Thomas McGuire were married
Friday, January 27, 2006 at the Andrew Johnson Clubhouse in
Greeneville. The Rev. Steve Spratlin officiated the 7:15pm exchange
of vows. Music was provided by Jerry Montgomery, pianist.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ross, Jr., Limestone.
She is a granddaughter of James and Lucille Ross, Afton,
Tennessee and the late Buster and Ruby Ellen Jennings, Limestone,
Tennessee.
The groom is the son of Janice Dugger-McGuire and the late
William E. McGuire of Butler. He is a grandson of the late Lee
Roy and Mae D. Dugger, Butler, Tennessee, and the late Grady
and Selma McGuire, also of Butler.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father,
the bride wore a white satin gown with chiffon overlay, an empire
waist and sheer bell sleeves. The bodice was covered in
seed pearls and cracked ice sequins. It flowed into a chapel
length train. She wore a blusher veil attached to a seed pearl entwined
headpiece, and carried a bouquet of red roses.
Matron of honor was Rachel Ross, mother of the bride. Ring
bearer was Thomas James Morris, nephew of the bride. Kermit
Dugger served as best man and Brent Tuttle was groomsman.
Following a reception at the Andrew Johnson Clubhouse, the
couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They
will reside in Johnson City, Tennessee.
