Amanda Hammons, Michael Smith Announce Plans

Amanda Lea Hammons of Gray
and Michael Thomas Smith of
Kingsport plan to be married at
2 p.m. May 24, 2003 at Mill
Spring Park Gazebo,
Jonesborough, Tennessee.
The bride-elect is the daughter
of Lynn and Sue Hammons,
Gray. She is the granddaughter
of Edith Hammons and the late
Ernest Hammons of Mountain
City and Mary Gentry Lewis and
the late James Lewis of Johnson
City. She graduated from Daniel
Boone High School and will
graduate from Milligan College
in May with a B.S. in Nursing.

She is a member of the Lady
Buffs basketball team.
The bridegroom-to-be is the
son of John and Linda Smith of
Kingsport. He is the grandson of
the late Coleman and Ethel
Smith, Baxter, Kentucky and
James Thomas and the late Lou
Anna Thomas, Baxter, Kentucky.
He graduated from Sullivan
South High School and from the
University of Tennessee in 2000
with a B.S. in Business Administration.
He is employed by Volvo
Construction Equipment in
Asheville, North Carolina.
