Carrie Brown, Davenport, daughter of Steve and Pam Brown, Davenport, is engaged to Sean Gallagher, son of Francis and Annette Gallagher, Downers Grove, Ill.
Miss Brown graduated from Davenport West High School and the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, with a bachelor’s degree in biology, Spanish and chemistry. She will be attending graduate school at the University of Illinois, Chicago, where she will study forensic science.
Her fiance graduated from Downers Grove North High School, Downers Grove, Ill., and the University of Iowa, Iowa City, with a bachelor’s degree in art and art education.
He is employed by Oswego Community School District, Oswego, Ill., and is currently pursuing a career in the graphic arts field.
The couple will be married 3 p.m. Aug. 4, 2001 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport, with a reception following at Rhythm City’s Blackhawk Hotel, Davenport.
