Barnes-Burich
Kelly Anne Barnes and Daniel Robert Burich were married Sept. 9, 2000 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Davenport. Pastor George White and Father Drake Shaffer officiated the ceremony. The dinner reception and dance was held at Jumer’s Castle Lodge, Bettendorf.
The bride is the daughter of J. Wayne and Pamela Barnes, Oklahoma City, Okla. She is the granddaughter of Fred and Ollie Terrill, and John and Viola McClelland, both of Lakeland, Fla.
The groom is the son of Bill and Marilyn Burich, Joliet, Ill.
The bride’s sister, Kimberly Barnes, served as the maid of honor. The bridal attendants were Cristin Neff, Octavia Houtekier, Theresa Dwyer and Sarah Levin. Becky Levin and Emily Burich served as flower girls. Ronda Carpenter was the personal attendant.
The groom’s brother, Larry Burich, served as the best man. The groomsmen were John Marx, Phil Roehlk, Greg Dwyer and David Van Moffaert. Ted Burich was the ring bearer. Sam Burich and Glenn Van Moffaert served as acolytes. The ushers were Bill Burich, Guy Perry, Jamie D’Aprile and Dan Brown.
Susan Burich was the vocalist and Mitzi Harris was the organist. The St. John’s United Methodist Church choir also sang before and during the ceremony.
The bride wore a white, silky satin, off-the-shoulder gown. The short capped sleeves complimented the dropped bodice and box pleated skirt. Satin covered buttons trailed the length of the semi-cathedral train. The bridesmaids wore navy blue crepe column dresses, with a satin embroidered, empire waist.
The bride carried a vibrant bouquet of two-tone talisman roses, orange gerbera daisies, orange tiger lilies, purple freesia, deep blue delphinium, purple asters, yellow solidago, mini-sunflower poms and red miniature carnations.
The bride graduated from Putnam City West High School, Oklahoma City, Okla., and the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond. She is employed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals as a sales representative.
Her husband graduated from Joliet Catholic High School, Joliet, Ill., and St. Ambrose University, Davenport. He is the sports director for WQAD, NewsChannel 8.
After a honeymoon to London and Paris, the couple resides in Rock Island.
