Wellner
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wellner, Davenport, were honored on Dec. 30, 2000 at a reception to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
The reception was held at Knights of Columbus, Davenport.
Bess Magee and Mr. Wellner were married Dec. 30, 1950, at St. Francis Barclay, Dunkerton, Iowa.
Mr. Wellner was employed by Alcoa, Riverdale, Ill., retiring in 1992 after 40 years.
His wife was employed by Davenport Community Schools, retiring in 1993 after 37 years.
Mr. Wellner is a member of the Davenport Bowling Association and American Association of Retired Persons. He enjoys bowling, hunting and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Mrs. Wellner is a member of the Scott County Genealogy Society, Scott County Historical Society, Retired Teachers and Friendship Force. She enjoys family research, local history and world travel, having been in 50 countries.
Their children are Jill Ann Sager, Tamarac, Fla., and Marney Ayn and her husband Todd Tope, Davenport. A son, Richard, is deceased.
Their grandchildren are Paul, Jill E. and Eric Sager, and Kelsey, Mason and Brennen Tope. Their great-grandson is Albert Huff III.
