Lynne Ann Stotz, Bettendorf, and Charles David Nettleton, Blue Grass, Iowa, were married July 1 at Asbury Methodist Church, Bettendorf, by Pastor Ed Mutum.
Their parents are Robert and Brenda Schertz Rock Island, and Dean and Karen Stotz, Bettendorf; and David and Marilyn Nettleton, Blue Grass.
Their grandparents are Pauline Stotz, Tolstoy, S.D.; and Evelyn Nettleton, Lansford, N.D.
Their attendants were Moira Stotz, maid of honor; Mary Stotz, matron of honor; Darwin and Mike Nettleton, best men; Brittney Kopp, Brieanna Kopp, Wendy Brandt, Jennifer Freund and Carol Engelmann, bride's attendants; Scott Bickett, Marty Bickett, Tom Felts, Jay Freund and Todd Stotz, groom's attendants; Jessica Schertz, flower girl; Jack Stotz, ring bearer; Ken Scodeller, Jeff Ruge, Jon Fleischman and Steve Kopp, ushers; Kathy Barth, personal attendant; Deb Miller, Mary Beth Harris, Linda Felts and Darlis Spaete, reception attendants; Jeff Ruge and Jon Fleischman, candlelighters; and Amy Howard, soloist. The theme of the wedding was the "Fourth of July" and the colors were royal blue, red, white and silver to compliment the theme.
The bride wore a diamond white silk chantung dress with hand sewed beads and pearls. The attendants wore sleeveless A-line floor length royal blue dresses, all carried red and royal blue roses.
The bride and groom were taken to the reception at the Grand Ballroom at the Isle of Capri (Lady Luck) Casino, by horse and carriage along with attendants, Mary and Moira Stotz, Jack Stotz and Jessica Schertz.
The bride graduated from Pleasant Valley High School, Bettendorf, and the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education/special education (behavior disorders and learning disorders). She is employed by the Davenport Schools, where she coaches softball and volleyball. Her husband graduated from Davenport West High School and Scott Community College, Bettendorf, with a business administration degree. He is employed by UPS, Davenport, and Ashley Furniture, Moline.
After a wedding trip to the Grand Canyon and Jamaica, the couple resides in Bettendorf.
