Lee and Zoe Hemmingson, Le Mars, Iowa, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 3-5 p.m. Aug. 27, at Grace Lutheran Church, Le Mars.
Hosts will be their children, Mark and Vickie Hemmingson, Victor, Iowa, Linda and Scott Schreurs, Portage, Mich., and Nancy and Arnold "Sonny" Laufmann, Jasper, Minn.
The couple have seven grandchildren.
Mr. Hemmingson and the former Zoe Brenneman were married Aug. 27, 1950, in Des Moines.
Mr. Hemmingson is a retired building materials salesman.
Mrs. Hemmingson is a retired teacher.
The couple request no gifts.
