Sypersma
Julius and Barbara Sypersma, 2875 Drewyer Ave., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at Immaculate Conception Parish Center.
Hosts will be their children, Dan, Aurora, Colo., Julie, Des Moines, Jeff and Deb, and Wayne "Sam" and Vickie Samuelson, Matt, and Lisa, all of Sioux City.
Their grandchildren are Gina Duffy, Katie and Tim Sypersma, and Julius, Adam and Seth Samuelson.
Mr. Sypersma and the former Barbara Gereau were married Nov. 12, 1949, at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Mr. Sypersma worked for Swift & Co. from 1948 to 1984.
