Harwin and Dorothy Jess, Denison, Iowa, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on Sunday at Cronk's, Denison.
Hosts will be their children, James and Janice Jess, Latimer Iowa, Judith and Maurice Hines, Ankeny, Iowa, Joel and Tammy Jess, Pekin, Ill., and son-in-law, Kirwin Powell, Ames, Iowa.
Two daughters, Jacqueline Powell and Jenifer Jess, are deceased.
The couple have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jess and the former Dorothy Maas were married Sept. 30, 1939, in South Dakota.
Mr. and Mrs. Jess are members of United Church of Christ, Schleswig, Iowa.
