April Dawn Finley and Phil R. Williamson were united in marriage Sept. 2, 2000 at the Faith Freewill Baptist Church, Lavalette. She is the daughter of Tom and Sandy Finley of Lavalette. He is the son of the Rev. Ray and Sue Williamson of Huntington.
The Rev. Wayne Runyon performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Willie May.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Maid of honor was Shelly Ferrell. Bridesmaids were Jeanette Taylor and Misty Clary.
Best man was the father of the groom. Groomsman was Kevin Shy, brother-in-law of the groom.
Flower girl was Rachel Titchnell. Ring bearer was J.C. Maynard.
Guest book attendant was Regina Shy, sister of the groom. Wedding coordinator was Michelle Maynard.
A reception was conducted in the fellowship hall of the church with the women of the church assisting.
The bride graduated from Wayne High School and Huntington Junior College of Business with a medical assisting degree. She is a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church, where she is also a Sunday school teacher. She is also employed with Drs. Heffernan, Assaley and Lee.
The groom, a graduate of Buffalo High School, is also a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church. He is employed with the West Virginia Department of Transportation and a basketball coach with the Wayne County Board of Education.
They reside in Prichard.
