Mary Ann Myer and Shawn E. Long were married at 3:30 p.m. June 19, 1999, at Drummond Chapel United Methodist Church in Morgantown with the Rev. Ronald McCauley officiating.
The bride is a daughter of Dan and Mary Lou Myer and granddaughter of Neil and Mary Humphreys, all of Morgantown. She is a 1993 graduate of Morgantown High School and a 1997 graduate of WVU with a bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology. She is a third-year medical student at WVU School of Medicine.
The bridegroom is a son of Gerald and Mary Jo Long of Weirton and grandson of Carlin and Lenore Long of Paris, Pa., and John and Mary Connovich of Weirton. He is a 1992 graduate of Weir High School and a 1996 graduate of WVU with a bachelor of arts degre e in biology. He is a fourth-year medical student at WVU School of Medicine.
Honor attendant was Patricia Showers of Denver.
Bridesmaids were Nicole Guppy, Cara Parsons, Sarah Stevenson, Shawn Myer, sister-in-law of the bride, all of Morgantown; and Susan Long, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, of Weirton.
Flower girl was Emma Weigel, cousin of the bridegroom, of Warwood.
Best man was Christopher Long, brother of the bridegroom, of Weirton. Groomsmen were Michael Ryan of Auburn, Ala.; Phillip Myer, brother of the bride and Aaron Quinlan, both of Morgantown; David Runkel of Atlanta; Jeffrey Sokolowski of Pittsburgh; Archie Humphreys, cousin of the bride, of Morgantown; and J.T. Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple lives in Morgantown.
