Jenny Sue Powell and John Michael Salamone were married at 4:30 p.m. March 27, 1999, at Nicholson Chapel in Morgantown with the Rev. Elmer Nicholson officiating.
The bride is a daughter of Verna Helmick of Morgantown and Mike Powell of Fairmont. She is a 1996 graduate of Fairmont High School and attended Fairmont State College. She is an assistant manager at Dairy Mart in Fairmont.
The bridegroom is a son of Joe Salamone of Washington, Pa., and the late Dorothy Salamone. He is a 1989 graduate of University High School and is a clerk/attendant at Sunoco in Fairmont.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin and lace gown.
Honor attendant was Judy Powell, sister of the bride, of Morgantown.
Best man was Joe Salamone, brother of the bridegroom, of Morgantown. Ushers were Michael Powell, brother of the bride, of Fairmont; Steve Mathess, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Morgantown; and Bill Helmick, stepfather of the bride, of Morgantown.
A reception was held at Brookhaven Fire Hall.
Following a wedding trip to Blackwater Falls, the couple lives in Fairmont.
