Furtner-Klor
Melissa Susan Furtner of Pine Knoll Shores, N.C., and Wes Klor of Webb City, Mo., were married on Aug. 7, 2004, at the Chapel by the Sea in Emerald Isle, N.C. Russ Klor, father of the bridegroom, and the Rev. Clay Olsen, officiated the 5 p.m. double-ring nuptials.
The bride is the daughter of Len and Kathy Furtner of Pine Knoll Shores. A 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications, she is employed with Lee’s Photography in Morehead City, N.C. The bridegroom is the son of Russ and Sylvia Klor of Webb City. He is a 1999 graduate of Webb City High school and is a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp., stationed at Cherry Point, Havelock, N.C.
Maid of honor was Jennifer Brown, cousin of the bride. Matron of honor was Alicia McFarland. Bridesmaids were Kristen Furtner, sister-in-law of the bride, Abby Doran, Jen Parks, Ashley Lacquement, Rachel Letendre and Gena Bittner. The brother of the bridegroom, Ben Klor, of Rolla, Mo., was the best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Klor, Isaac Klor, Joseph Furtner, Kevin Furtner, Dan Colvell and Jeff Malsbury. Katie Parler was the flower girl. Ringbearer was Matthew Parler.
After the wedding trim to Lubber Quarter, Abaco, Bahamas, the couple will live in Morehead City, N.C.
