Wedding – Deterding-Spinell
Susann Michelle Deterding and Todd Michael Spinell were married Nov. 29, 2008, in Dennis Vineyards in Albemarle, N.C., where the reception was also held. Rev. Rodney Hughes officiated at the 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony for which Eric Bond of Concord, N.C., friend of the bride, was organist.
Susann is the daughter of Larry and Diane Pittman of Evansville, Ind., and Merle and Sue Deterding of Independence, Mo. Todd is the son of Michael and Karen Spinell of New Philadelphia, O.
The bride wore a strapless, A-line, chiffon gown with a ruched overlay and a back corset closure. The white dress was accented with Swarovski crystal beads.
Nikki Sandor, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Hanson and Anna Auerbach, friends of the bride. All are of Concord, N.C.
James Uhler of Chicago, Ill., friend of the groom, served as best man. Escorts were Michael Desiato of Nashville, Tenn., and Scott Evans of Wilmington, O., friend of the groom.
Megan Moser of Rockwell, N.C., and Kate Braskett of Powell, O., nieces of the groom, were flower girls. Ringbearers were Kyle Deterding of Nixa, Mo., and Ryan Moser of Rockwell, N.C., nephews of the bride and groom, respectively.
Tyler and Mason Deterding of Nixa, Mo., twin nephews of the bride, were program attendants.
Kathleen Luzar of Huntsville, Ala., aunt of the groom, and Lisa Talman of Raytown, O., aunt of the bride, were guestbook attendants. Erin Shoe of Concord, N.C., friend of the couple, was wedding coordinator. Dustin Shoe of Concord, N.C., friend of the couple, was reader.
The groom’s parents, Michael and Karen Spinell, hosted a catered rehearsal dinner Nov. 28, 2008, in the Sleep Inn at Albemarle, N.C.
Susann is a graduate of Gulf High School at New Port Richey, Fla., and the University of South Florida at St. Petersburg, Fla. She is employed as an elementary technology facilitator for Cabarrus County Schools in Concord, N.C.
Todd is a graduate of New Philadelphia High School at New Philadelphia and Kent State University at Kent, O. He is employed as a high school history teacher and soccer coach for Cabarrus County Schools in Concord, N.C.
The newlyweds were introduced by one of the groom’s former high school students, for whom the bride also was a nanny.
The couple honeymooned at Charleston, S.C., and are residing at Concord, N.C.
