Wedding – Shutt-Edwards
Angela Lynn Shutt and R. Alan Edwards Jr. were married May 30, 2009, at Wood’s Tall Timber Lake Resort. Rev. Michael Lowry officiated at the 4:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony.
Angela is the daughter of Randy and Kay Shutt of French Hill Rd., Dover. Alan is the son of Alan and Jan Edwards of Stocker Ridge Rd., Newcomerstown.
The bride wore a designer corset, strapless, full A-line gown. The skirt’s accents cascaded into a bubble hem chapel train. Barbara Page, the bride’s grandmother, handmade her three-tier veil with a full face blush accented with lavender Swarovski crystals and silver glass beads. The bride’s something old was her great-great-grandmother’s wedding ring from the 1900s, given to the bride by her mother. Marci Shutt, the bride’s aunt, made the flower arrangements.
In loving memory of the bride’s grandfather, Eugene Forest Shutt, a lapel pin that he earned with his CB call letters was placed in her bouquet along with a 4-H pin and a camouflage ribbon in loving memory of the groom’s brother, Thomas Andrew Edwards. The groom also wore a camouflage ribbon on his lapel in remembrance of his brother, as did other members of the bridal party and family.
Kay Shutt, the bride’s mother, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Knotts of Canton, Kaleigh Siegenthaler and Jackie McCreery of Dover, the bride’s friends, and Tracie Shutt of Orlando, Fla., the bride’s sister-in-law. Junior bridesmaids were Courtney and Katlyn Shutt of Dover, the bride’s cousins, and Kirstin Siegenthaler of Dover, the bride’s friend.
Alan Edwards Sr., the groom’s father, served as best man. Escorts were Tom Miller of Port Washington, Billy Dryden of Dennison and Ryan Hays of Uhrichsville, the groom’s friends, and Randy Shutt of Orlando, Fla., the bride’s brother.
Katelin and Lucas Edwards of Uhrichsville, the groom’s cousins, were flower girl and ringbearer, respectively.
Heather and Samantha Dennis and Andy Abbuhl, all of Uhrichsville, the groom’s cousins, were greeters and guestbook attendants.
The reception was held in Wood’s Tall Timber Lake Resort Lodge immediately following the ceremony.
Alan and Jan Edwards hosted a rehearsal dinner May 29 at Dutch Valley Restaurant at Sugarcreek.
Angela graduated from Dover High School in 2001. She is employed by AP&P Development & Construction Co. as office manager.
Alan graduated from Indian Valley and Buckeye Career Center in 2003. He is the founder of Crow-Ridge Productions LLC.
The couple honeymooned at Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and are residing at Dennison, O.
