Wedding – Butler-Anderson
The parents of Abby Lee Butler and Matthew Phillip Anderson are happy to announce their marriage, which took place on Jan. 17, 2009. The ceremony was held at Park Christian Church in Dennison, O. The bride’s great-uncle, Rev. Kenneth Huff of Escondido, Calif., officiated at 3:30 p.m.
Abby is the daughter of Don and Sandy Butler of Dennison. Matthew is the son of Bill and Donna Anderson of Cuyahoga Falls, O.
The bride wore a fitted strapless ivory gown, adorned with a beaded embroidery design that cascaded down with multiple layers at the bottom. The bride carried a bouquet consisting of ivory roses, white lisianthus, mini calla lilies and rhinestones. A handkerchief that belonged to the bride’s great-grandmother, Mable Huff, was carried along with her bouquet.
Mindy Marty, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Abbuhl, Bri Vermillion, cousins of the bride; Maddy Butler, sister of the bride; Mollie Prater, Joy Moore, and Hannah Heinzman, friends of the bride. Kadin Belt, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Jason McIntire, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Nathan Henderson, Dustin Long, Doug Bower, Doug Duff, friends of the groom, and Nathan Anderson, brother of the groom. Brody Butler, brother of the bride, was ring bearer.
Ceremony music was performed by harpist Sarah Fouts. Friend of the couple, Tina McIntire, was guestbook attendant.
A formal reception was held following the ceremony at Myron Phillip’s Banquet Hall in the Tuscarawas County Senior Center in Dover. A rehearsal dinner was hosted the night prior by the groom’s parents at Georgio’s Bar and Grill in Bolivar.
The couple honeymooned for a week at the Grand Sirenis in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Abby is a 2001 graduate of Claymont High School. She is a 2005 and 2008 graduate of Marietta College with a bachelor of arts in marketing and a master’s degree in corporate media. She is the media strategist at Whitemyer Advertising in Zoar, O. Matthew is a 2000 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and has been employed at AEP in Canton for the last five years.
The couple resides in Bolivar.
