Mr. and Mrs. Michael D. Johnson of Peachtree City announce the marriage of their daughter, Kimberly Elaine Johnson, to Scott William John, son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. John of Lakeland, Fla.
The wedding was July 22, 2000 at the First Baptist Church of Peachtree Cty.
The Rev. Kenneth Brown conducted the ceremony.
Wedding music was presented by Mrs. Robin Lewis, pianist,and Mrs. Janet Greer, organist.
Soloists were Emma Allmond and Mrs. Cheryl Skowronski.
Carrie Gregory presented a reading from Corinthians I.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a sleeveless formal ball gown of white tulle.
She was attended by her sister, Amber Johnson, maid of honor, and bridesmaids Mandy Johnson, sister of the bride, Jennifer Sullo, Kim Skowronski, Pamela Kinzly and Emma Allmond, all of Peachtree City, who wore formal length gowns of lavender French satin.
Flower girls were Amelia Caroline Johnson of Hoover, Ala., and Claire Lilah Cooper of Raleigh N.C., both cousins of the bride. Nathaniel Russel Chisolm Cooper, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
William John, father of the groom was best man.
Other groomsmen included Chris John of Lakeland, Fla, brother of the groom, and Mike Cochran, also of Lakeland; James Cochran, Valdosta; Adam Derk, Boston, Mass.; Chad Grabowski, Tavares, Fla.; and Aaron Johnson, cousin of the bride, Hoover, Ala.
Attending the wedding were the groom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brand and Mr. and Mrs. Dale John, all of Morgantown, W.V.
A candle was lit by Mandy Johnson and Chris John, in memory of the couple's late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William D. Chisolm, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac D. Johnson, and Mrs. Jane John.
A buffet reception hosted by the bride's parents followed the ceremony.
Music was provided by Mrs. Jeni Michelson.
Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Tricia Brooks, Mrs. Carolyn Davis, Mrs. Debbie Dunham, Mrs. Susie Lucso and Mrs. Judie Thompson.
Mrs. Deborah Allmond attended the bride's book.
Other assistants included Rachel Barnette, Tessa and Taylor Buffington, and Amanda Kulaga.
The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at the Village Cafe, and Mrs. Ann Barnette, Mrs. Tricia Brooks and Mrs. Carolyn Davis entertained the bride and her bridesmaids at a luncheon that afternoon.
Following a wedding trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, the couple will reside in Valdosta.
