Barfields celebrate golden anniversary
Wendell and Shirley Barfield of Eastpoint celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 2 (1963).
The couple was married in the Eastpoint Methodist Church.
They have two sons, Wendell Barfield, Jr., of Apalachicola, and Charles D. Barfield and wife, Frieda, of Lakeland.
They have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Wendell retired as inspector with CSX Transportation, and Shirley retired from C & C Bank and is an adjunct professor with Gulf Coast State College.
After living in Lakeland for 39 years, they returned home to Franklin County in July 2009.
Partners and friends for 50 years.
