Wedding – Lipinski-Gerber
Lauren Ann Lipinski and Kyle Christopher Gerber were united in marriage on Sept. 27, 2008, at Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia. Their wedding is being announced by their parents, Robert and Anne Lipinski of New Philadelphia and Stan and Kathy Gerber of Dover.
The ceremony was officiated by Monsignor George Schlegel. The organist was Beth Fragasse and vocalists were Scott Miller and Carolyn Brodzinski, all of New Philadelphia.
Lauren’s satin strapless gown was part of an exclusive designer line. The A-line skirt featured inverted box pleats and a cathedral-length train. The majority of the dress was ivory with accenting bands of champagne at the neckline and hem. It also had accents of pearls, embroidered lace, crystals and sequins.
In remembrance of her late maternal grandparents, Rita and Eugene “Russ” Andrews, Lauren wore a pearl necklace that Russ gave to Rita on the day before their wedding. Lauren’s father discovered that they would be sharing an anniversary with his late parents, Carl and Anna Lipinski, married Sept. 27, 1917.
Jennifer Lipinski, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Jamie Lipinski of New Philadelphia, sister-in-law of the bride; Andrea Kish of Fairview Park, O., cousin of the bride; and friends of the bride, Janelle Goodall of New Philadelphia and Katie Brugger of Uhrichsville.
Nick Hoffman of Avon, O., friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen included Tom Jones of Mount Vernon, O., cousin of the groom; Brian Lipinski of New Philadelphia, brother of the bride; and friends of the groom, Jon Brugger of Uhrichsville and Ian Cochran of Georgetown, Ky.
Annabelle Lipinski, niece of the bride, served as flower girl and Nicholas Jones, cousin of the groom, served as ringbearer. Kelly Simmons of North Canton, O., and Jessica Goodall, friends of the bride, were guestbook and program attendants. Christopher Lipinski, brother of the bride, was the reader.
The reception was held at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center in Dover. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Union Country Club.
Lauren is a 2002 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and a 2005 graduate of Kent State - Tuscarawas with a degree in nursing. She works at Union Hospital on the maternity floor. Kyle is a 2001 graduate of Dover High School and a 2006 graduate of Kent State - Tuscarawas with a mechanical engineering degree. He is employed by Beech Engineering and Manufacturing at New Philadelphia as a design engineer.
The couple honeymooned on a western Caribbean cruise and reside in Dover.
