Earl Willis Dible - Isabel [Wallace] Dible
The twenty-sixth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dible was observed at a delightful party arranged by members of the East Side M.E. church choir and a coterie of friends in the church dining hall.
A chicken dinner, arranged by Mrs. Anna Chase and Mrs. Ivy McKean, was served. A gift of silver was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Dible from the choir and friends and they received a personal present from Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lorentzen.

[Obituary of Earl Dible: Earl Willis Dible - Services were held for Earl Willis Dible, a noted Southern California educator and radio station manager, who died June 2 [1989] at his family home in Santa Cruz. He was 78. Born in San Diego, Mr. Dible grew up in Santa Cruz in the house his grandfather built. He moved to Southern California while in his teens and graduated from high school in Long Beach. His educational background was long and varied. He graduated magna cum laude from UC Berkeley with a degree in political science. He also received a master's degree in general administration and political science from Stanford University and a doctorate in communications/learning theory from UCLA. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Gamma Mu fraternities. His teaching career began at Stanford University in 1938, followed by several years at a private boys' school and Menlo Junior College. After serving in the armed forces as a flight training instructor during World War II, he returned to education and joined the Santa Monica School District, where he served as an administrator for 30 years. In 1970, he became manager of KCRW-FM, a public radio station. He also wrote many articles on education and was a noted consultant in his field. He also enjoyed traveling and was an avid photographer. He was a member of many professional organizations and community groups, including the Red Cross, Salvation Army, March of Dimes and the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. While in Santa Cruz, he was active at Grace United Methodist Church. He is survived by his son, Craig W. Dible of Marina Del Rey. His wife, Isabel Dible, died in 1980. Private services were held June 8 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.]
