Mr. and Mrs. Ellison Eichor of rural Maywood observed their 60th wedding anniversary on Monday, April 22, 2002.
Ellison and Reghnald Eichor were united in marriage on April 22, 1942, at the Palmyra Christian Church.
They are the parents of two children, Virginia DeVerger of Maywood and Matthew Eichor of Greentop.
They have five granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Eichor was born in Quincy, Ill., and after spending her early years in Quincy, the family moved to Lewistown.
She graduated from Lewistown High School in 1941.
She worked at Motorola in Quincy for 25 years and retired in 1975 to become a full-time homemaker.
Mr. Eichor was born in Hannibal and after spending his early years in the Hydesburg area near Hannibal, his family moved to rural Maywood.
He graduated from Durham High School in 1940.
Following graduation from high school, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is a lifelong farmer in the Maywood community.
Mr. and Mrs. Eichor are members of Mount Olivet Methodist Church in Taylor.
The extended family celebrated with a dinner in their honor.
