Amy Lynn Kurek and Michael Dean Hewitt were married in an afternoon ceremony on Friday, June 16, 2006 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Lancaster.
The Rev. Leon Biernat officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Christine and Louis J. Kurek of Lancaster.
The groom is the son of Arbelle and the Rev. Ernest Hewitt of Groveton, Texas.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father.
She wore a Pronovias ivory strapless chiffon gown with a chapel length train.
She wore her sister’s veil.
The maid of honor was Lori Pietropaoli, sister of the bride.
The bridesmaids were Laurie Grandia, friend of the couple; and Colleen Was, cousin of the bride.
The flower girl was Madeline Was, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Wade Stidevent, brother of the groom.
The ushers were Matt Pelzel, friend of the couple; and Tom McIntosh, friend of the groom.
The ring bearer was Jacob Was, cousin of the bride and twin brother of the flower girl.
A reception was held at Sean Patrick’s in Amherst.
The couple is honeymooning in Cancun, Mexico and will reside in Fort Worth, Texas .
