Henry and Helen Miszuk of Depew celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a dinner held at the Columns Banquets in Elma.
Henry Miszuk and the former Helen Kobak were married on June 23, 1956.
They are from a small town in Poland but did not meet until they moved to the United States and lived just two streets apart.
Henry is a retired automation mechanic from Ford Motor Company.
Helen is a semi-retired cake decorator at Tops Markets in Depew.
The couple enjoy traveling. Over the years they have visited many countries, including Poland, Italy, France, Costa Rica, Panama and the Caribbean.
Most recently they took a month-long cruise along the coast of Africa and will take a two-week cruise to Russia in August.
The couple has three children and eight grandchildren, including two sets of twins.
