Wedding – Watson-Morwick
Blair M. Watson and Matthew A. Morwick were married May 10, 2008, in St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg, Ohio. Pastor Gary Friend officiated at the 3 p.m., double-ring ceremony for which G. Randall Gibbs was organist.
Blair is the daughter of Robert and Tara Preston of New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Joel and Kim Watson of Uhrichsville, Ohio. Matthew is the son of Ken and Tina Morwick of New Milford, Conn.
The bride wore a couturier-styled strapless diamond white taffeta gown with a fitted drop waist and chapel train. The skirt had an asymmetrical front with chiffon underlay. The dress was trimmed with Swarovski crystals, sequins, seed beads and silver beads. Beaded silver motifs were on the side front and back of the skirt.
Natalie Napier was matron of honor and Kayela Tidrick was maid of honor. Both are of New Philadelphia and friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Becky Poyer of Berlin Heights, Ohio, Denielle Rohe of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kristen Koleno of Columbus, Ohio, friends of the bride.
Greg Morwick of Orlando, Fla., brother of the groom, served as best man. Escorts were Joseph Morwick of Bloomington, Ind., brother of the groom; Brant Watson of Cleveland Heights, O., brother of bride; Chad Pearson of Cincinnati, Valmar Franca of New Milford, Conn., friends of the groom; and Mark Swaile of Temperance, Mich., brother-in-law of the groom.
Claire Zingery, cousin of the bride, and Elizabeth Swaile, niece of the groom, were flower girls.
Ringbearers were Connor Preston, Alec Preston and Evan Preston, brothers of the bride.
The reception was held in Atwood Lake Resort.
The groom’s parents, Ken and Tina Morwick, hosted a rehearsal dinner May 9 in the Pro’s Table at New Philadelphia.
Blair is a 2002 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and a 2007 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is a teacher of middle school science for Chapel Hill Center at Indianapolis, Ind.
Matthew is a 2002 graduate of New Milford High School and a 2007 graduate of Bowling Green State University. He is currently sports director for Indianapolis YMCA.
The couple took a cruise to the eastern Caribbean for their honeymoon and are residing at Indianapolis, Ind.
