Wedding – Fondriest-Ott
John and Debbie Fondriest of Dover are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Emily Marie, to Matthew Adrian Ott, son of Greg Ott of Dover and Sue Ott of New Philadelphia.
The couple wed Aug. 30, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover in a double-ring ceremony officiated by Fr. William Arnold and Deacon Ron Fondriest, the bride’s great-uncle. Music at the ceremony was provided by pianist Joyce Cecil; soloist, Ron Barkett; and violinist, Randy Bond, friend of the bride.
The bride wore an ivory strapless designer gown embellished with intricate beading and a cathedral-length train and veil. Her garter was made from a dress owned by her late grandmother, Iris Wright. She also wore a diamond pendant necklace and earring set – a gift from the groom.
Maid and man of honor were Amanda Fondriest, sister of the bride, and Zach “Marv” Kimble, the bride’s best friend. Casey Clum, friend of the bride, and Maria Fondriest, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Chris Rothrock, the groom’s stepbrother, was best man. Groomsmen were Dave Johnson and Kenny Kocarek, friends of the groom, and Matt Fondriest, brother of the bride. Cousins of the bride, Katie and Jackie Fondriest, served as guestbook and program attendants. Readings were done by Julie Watson, cousin of the groom, and Mike and Jim Fondriest, cousins of the bride. Gifts were presented by the bride’s godparents, John and Cathy Liegl.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at The Pro’s Table in New Philadelphia.
The couple left the ceremony in a 1931 Ford Model A Sedan, owned by family friend Eric Kimble and driven by the bride’s parents. Held at the McDonald Marlite Conference Center, the reception, like the couple, was not without plenty of laughs and priceless moments – including a surprising father-daughter dance and an appearance by the legendary Jason Besse of Mason, O.
Following their wedding, the couple honeymooned in Orlando, Fla., and now reside in Dover, O.
