Wedding – Snyder-Shidaker
Ashlee Kaye Snyder and Adam Trevor Shidaker were married July 19, 2008, in First United Church of Christ at Sugarcreek. Rev. Dr. David Genszler officiated at the 4:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony.
Ashlee is the daughter of Michael and Cindy Snyder of Sugarcreek. Adam is the son of Ralph and Cindy Shidaker of Dover.
Organist was Linda Hanna of Dover, violinists were The Lodron Camerata of Akron and Tammy Fanning of Sugarcreek was vocalist.
The wedding date was chosen in honor of Ashlee’s great-grandmother, the late Carrie Schlegel’s birthday.
The bride wore a satin gown appliquéd with embroidered laces with a halter neckline and a 10-foot cathedral train. She wore a gold locket of her great-grandmother, the late Carrie Schlegel. A gold charm of the groom’s great-grandmother Gordon was attached to her bouquet.
The groom carried a pocket watch given to him by his father, which was given to him on his wedding day by his father, Ralph E. Shidaker.
Marlea Meese of New Philadelphia, the bride’s friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Snyder of Dover and Heather Snyder of Riverview, Fla., the bride’s sisters-in-law; Ashley Shidaker of Reynoldsburg, the groom’s sister; and Ashleigh Wilson of Dover and Brandee Williamson of Bolivar, the couple’s friends. Chloe Lindsay of Dover, the bride’s friend, was junior bride. Emma Williamson of Bolivar, the couple’s goddaughter, was flower girl.
Solomon Meese of New Philadelphia, the couple’s friend, served as best man. Escorts were Mick Snyder of Dover and Bo Snyder of Riverview, Fla., the bride’s brothers; Justin Dean of Charleston, S.C., the groom’s friend; Christopher Snyder of Dover, the bride’s cousin; and Justin Williamson of Bolivar, the couple’s friend. Evan Snyder of Dover, the bride’s nephew, was junior groom. Ethan Snyder of Dover, the bride’s nephew, was ringbearer.
Ushers were Christopher Malloy of Tuscarawas, the groom’s cousin, and John Incarnato of Dover, the couple’s friend.
Kara German of Strasburg, the groom’s cousin, was guestbook attendant. Lindzee Hershberger of Dover, the bride’s cousin, was program and bubble attendant.
The reception was held in Union Country Club at Dover. A rehearsal dinner hosted by Ralph and Cindy Shidaker was held July 18, 2008, in Smith’s Creekside at Sugarcreek, catered by The Good House of Ragersville.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Garaway High and Buckeye Career Center and a 2005 graduate of Tusco Beauty School. Ashlee is employed by Headz & Nailz Salon and Spa in New Philadelphia as a hair and nail technician. Adam, a 2000 graduate of Dover High and a 2005 graduate of Stark State Police Academy, is employed by Allied Machine in Dover as a CNC operator.
The couple honeymooned at Orlando, Fla., and are residing in Dover, O.
