Wedding - Natoli-Von Kaenel
Lia Kristine Natoli and Matthew Paul Von Kaenel were married during a double-ring ceremony New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, 2007, at 7 p.m. in First Christian Church at New Philadelphia.
Lia is a daughter of Mark and Pam Natoli of New Philadelphia, and Matthew is a son of Bob and Beth Von Kaenel of Dover. Pastor Jim Borton officiated at the ceremony for which Phyllis Ronald of New Philadelphia was pianist and Jamie Blickensderfer of Dover read Scripture.
The bride’s couture form-fitting gown was made of heavy silk charmeuse with a pleated deep V-neckline. The gown featured a criss-cross back with a crystal wreath brooch which secured long silk streamers. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink hydrangea, pink roses, pink cymbidium orchids and green dendrobium orchids.
Ali Natoli of New Philadelphia, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cami Von Kaenel of Grove City, sister-in-law of the groom, and Alex McConnell, Brittany LaCroix and Kayela Tidrick of New Philadelphia and Jessica Mattia of Lehigh Acres, Fla., friends of the bride.
Best man was Marcus Von Kaenel of Grove City, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brady Natoli of New Philadelphia, brother of the bride, and friends of the groom Ryan Clugston of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Tim McIlvaine of New Albany, and Doug Peterman Jr. and Josh Grove of Dover.
Rian O’Connor of New Philadelphia was flower girl, and Drew Moreland of Dennison was ringbearer. Both are cousins of the bride.
Courtney Sattler and Tera Pryor of Dover, friends of the couple, were guestbook and program attendants. Ushers were Kyle Sattler and Jimmy Wheeler of Dover and Christopher Johnston of Hilton Head, S.C., friends of the groom.
A reception was held in the Dover National Guard Armory. Bob and Beth Von Kaenel were hosts Dec. 30, 2007, for a rehearsal dinner in Reeves Museum Carriage House.
A graduate of New Philadelphia High and Walsh University with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting, Lia is employed by Rea & Associates Inc. at New Philadelphia as a staff accountant.
Matthew is a graduate of Dover High School, Muskingum College with a bachelor of arts degree in physical education, and Graceland University with a Master of Education in Collaborative Learning and Teaching degree. He will graduate this spring from Salem University with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. He is employed by Dover City Schools as a middle school physical education teacher.
The couple honeymooned at Riviera Maya, Mexico, and are residing at 125 Stucky Dr., Dover, O.
