Andrew Hommert and Lori Kettelkamp exchanged wedding vows on June 23, 2001 at Park United Methodist Church in Hannibal.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Barbara Kettelkamp of Hannibal. The groom is the son of Garland and Mary Cheney of Crawfordsville, Ark., and John and Linda Hommert of Granite City, Ill.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Jan Bond. Janey Turner provided the organ and piano music.
During the prelude, Janey was joined by Jane Polett playing the violin.
Shaylene Sharkey sang two solos during the ceremony and Dr. Amy Knickerbocker read the scripture.
Maid of honor was Rebecca Kettelkamp, of Hannibal, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Paula Neff of Monroe City and Crystal Watkins of Granite City, Ill.
Best man was Brian Hommert of Granite City, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Clint Hays of Linn, MO and Chris Ludwig of Monroe City.
Ushers were Joshua Martin of Chatham, Ill., cousin of the bride, and Derek Ludwig of Monroe City, cousin of the groom.
Flower girl was Emily Tate, daughter of Mark and Andrea Tate of Hannibal.
Ring bearer was Joseph Beaver, son of Greg and Wendy Beaver of Monroe City.
The bride's veil was made from her mother's wedding veil. She wore a pair of emerald earrings and a matching bracelet that were a gift from the groom.
She also wore a cross pendant worn by 3 generations of her father's family in their weddings.
A rose was carried in her bouquet in memory of her grandfather.
The flowers were made by Ann Ewing, Barb Kettelkamp and the bride.
A reception followed at the National Guard Armory. Helpers were Lori Burbridge, Stacy Mayfield and Tina Powers.
Bridal showers were given by the bride's family, the groom's family and the women of Park United Methodist Church.
The bride is a 1990 graduate of Hannibal High School and is employed by Accu-Therm, Inc. in Monroe City in the production control department.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Monroe City High School and served in the Marine Corps from 1992-1996.
He is employed by Intermet-Hannibal in the maintenance department.
After a honeymoon to southern California, the couple is residing in Monroe City.
