Wedding – Simmerman-Johnson
Kelli M. Simmerman and Gregory T. Johnson were united in marriage on Aug. 9, 2008, in the presence of their immediate family at their home in Kimbolton, Ohio. Pastor Perry Baranich of Birds Run Community Church performed the ceremony. Pastor Baranich sang a special song, “Lost in the Moment.” A reception of approximately 200 people followed at the Sportsman’s Club.
The bride was given away by her parents, Thomas and Faylene Simmerman of Freeport. Jen Miller, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor and Madison Johnson, niece of the groom, served as the flower girl. Alicia Moore and Amber Moore, nieces of the groom, performed a special scriptural reading.
Tiny Johnson, brother of the groom, served as best man. A candle was lit in honor of Greg’s son, Jack Johnson, who was unable to attend the ceremony.
Kelli is a 2004 graduate of Indian Valley High School. She graduated summa cum laude from Muskingum College with a bachelor of science degree in psychology in 2008. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in clinical counseling at Malone University. Kelli is employed at Guernsey County Help Me Grow.
Greg is a 1999 graduate of Cambridge High School and the Muskingum-Perry Career Center. Greg is employed at Elite Home Remodeling of Columbus.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents, Tim and June Johnson of Kimbolton.
