Wedding - Huprich-Stuckey
Kendra Carol Huprich and Michael Duncan Stuckey were married Saturday, June 28, 2008, at 3:30 in St. John’s United Church of Christ at Dover, Ohio, by Rev. Michael Lowry; Pastor Timothy Philabaum of Zoar Lutheran Church at Perrysburg, the groom’s home church; and Rev. Richard Wilson, whose first wedding was the bride’s parents’ wedding 40 years ago in the same church.
Kendra is the daughter of Kenneth and Carol Huprich of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Michael is the son of David and Bonnie Stuckey of Perrysburg, Ohio.
Kate Philabaum was organist. Friends of the groom, Matthew Steele and Courtney Mix, were vocalist and reader, respectively.
The bride wore a strapless gown of ivory matte satin accented with silver metallic embroidery, pearls and bugle beads with a full chapel-length train. Her red roses were wrapped with her mother’s wedding veil.
The sixpence in the bride’s shoe was carried by her maternal grandfather, the late Harold Deselms, while serving in the Army during World War II. The bride wore pearl earrings and a pearl necklace belonging to her maternal grandmother, Pauline Deselms, with whom she also shares a birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Deselms were also married June 28 – in 1941.
Amanda Huprich, sister-in-law of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Debbie Schroeder, Emily Gephart, Erin Watson, Krista Busch, Holly Lockard, Natalie Trimmer, Miranda Zink, Robyn Caples, Kathryn Parks, Audra Sowash, Julie Holzer, friends of the bride; and Carrie Stuckey and Sarah Stuckey, sisters of the groom.
Scott Stuckey, brother of the groom, and Andy Mix, friend of the groom, served as best men.
Escorts were Adam Molyet, Drew Stuckey and Matt Coughlan, cousins of the groom; Rahul Shah, Brad Smith, Phil Pilewski, Brian Smith, friends of the groom; and Brian Huprich, brother of the bride. David Stuckey, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Guestbook attendants were Rachel Cunningham, Delaney Emerson and Teegan Emerson, cousins of the bride.
The reception was held in the Holiday Inn at New Philadelphia. A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held June 27 in Warther’s Museum at Dover.
The couple are graduates of The Ohio State University – Kendra in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration (human resources) and Michael in 2003 with a bachelor of arts degree. They met while working as student officials/supervisors in the Intramurals Department of OSU.
Kendra, a 1998 graduate of New Philadelphia High, is district sales manager for Coca-Cola Enterprises at Columbus. Michael, a 1999 graduate of Perrysburg High, is pursuing teaching licensure from Ashland University. He is a builder security representative for Brinks Home Security at Columbus.
The couple honeymooned at Canyon Villa at Sedona, Ariz., and reside at Columbus.
