SHEMO - ROMANI
On Saturday morning, June 14, at a nine o'clock Mass in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dixonville, Father Louis W. Doychak officiated for the marriage of Joanne Shemo, daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Shemo of Dixonville, and Domenick Romani Jr. son of Domenick Romani of Creekside.
The main altar of the church was decorated with white carnations and tinted blue daisies.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Stanley Dubish of Weedville, the bride was lovely in a ballerina length white ruffled net over taffeta. She carried a white orchid on her white Prayer Book. The traditional something old, new, etc. was carried out. The something old worn was the gold band of the bride's mother.
Mary Ann Smith of Graceton, as maid of honor, wore a light blue gown and carried a cascade of tinted blue carnations.
Conrad Shemo of Clymer, brother of the bride, served as best man for the bridegroom.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Shemo chose a floral silk print and wore a corsage of tinted blue carnations.
A wedding breakfast for the wedding party was served in the home of the bride's parents after the ceremony and a dinner was served there at three o'clock for 35 guests.
The newly married couple are presently residing in Dixonville.
