Schmersahl-Rose wedding
Leigh Anne Schmersahl and Archer Riddick Randall Rose Jr. were married on Dec. 11, 2010 at Mountain Top and Resort in Pine Mountain, Ga.
The Rev. Mabry Collins officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brandt Schmersahl of Northport, Ala.
She is a 2001 graduate of Central High School in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned a degree in nursing.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in nursing as an adult and gerontological nurse practitioner at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She is currently employed with Amedisys Home Health.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archer Rose of Conyers.
He is a 2000 graduate of Salem High School.
He is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington, where he earned a degree in history and a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, where he earned a juris doctorate.
He is currently employed with the Tuscaloosa Public Defender's Office.
Casey Whitson of Northport, Ala., served as the matron of honor.
Jessica Dutton of Northport Ala., and Carrie Rose, sister of the groom, of Richmond Va., served as bridesmaids. Hannah Holman, Jill Parrott, Kelsey Richards, Christy Spence, all of Northport, Ala., Allison Smith of Tuscaloosa and Elizabeth Thigpen of Biloxi, Miss., all served as honorary bridesmaids.
Archer Rose, father of the groom, served as the best man. Jason Schmersahl, brother of the bride, of Homewood, Ala., and Ryan Whitson of Northport, served as groomsmen. Josiah Dutton of Northport served as junior groomsman.
After a honeymoon trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Northport.
