Mr. and Mrs. David Rehrer of Westfield have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Denise Kelly Rehrer of Scotch Plains, to James L. Harper, also of Scotch Plains.
He is the son of Ms. Diane Harper of Garwood and James L. Harper of Glen Gardner.
A 1992 graduate of Westfield High School, the bride-elect was awarded her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from Monmouth University in Long Branch.
She received her master’s degree, also in special education, from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
Miss Rehrer is employed as a special education teacher in the New Brunswick school district.
Her fiancé, a graduate of David Brearley High School in Kenilworth, earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Ceramic Engineering from Rutgers University.
He is employed as a ceramic engineer by Inrad in Northvale.
The couple plan to be married in April of 2001.
