Mrs. Marie Soriano Weds Charles Douches
Mrs. Marie Soriano and Charles Douches, both of Scotch Plains, were married on Saturday, June 10, 2000 during a morning Mass at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Scotch Plains.
The Reverend Robert Patterson was the celebrant at the nuptials. Mrs. Soriano was escorted down the aisle by her two sons, Joseph M. Soriano and John D. Soriano. A reception followed at L’Affaire in Mountainside.
Mark Douches served as his father’s best man and performed a reading from the Old Testament during the wedding. Alan Douches, also a son of the bridegroom, gave a reading from the New Testament.
Miss Meredith Marie Napolitano and Miss Cara Joe Napolitano, the granddaughters of the bride, were the bridesmaid and the flower girl, respectively.
Timothy Michael Person, the grandson of the bride, and Steven Charles Douches, the grandson of the bridegroom, served as the ring bearers.
Mrs. Maria Person and Mrs. Loretta Napolitano, the daughters of the bride, offered the Prayer of the Faithful.
John Soriano and David Soriano, the bride’s grandsons, did the Presentation of the Gifts at the ceremony. The bridegroom performed two selections, including “Panis Angelicus,” accompanied by organist Katie Montineo, and Schubert’s “Ave Maria.”
Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, with a stopover in Carmel, Calif., the couple reside in Scotch Plains.
