St. Mary - Moylan
PORTAGEVILLE - Amy Christina St. Mary and Christopher Robert Moylan exchanged wedding vows on June 30, 2001, at the First Baptist Church in Portageville. Dr. Mark Inman performed the ceremony and Brian Henson served as the reader.
Candles and ferns accented with tulle, which decorated the church, were arranged by Julie Fullerton of Julie's Flowers and Gifts.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Kathy St. Mary of Portageville. She is the granddaughter of Harold and Betty Hayes of Marston and Steve and Allie St. Mary of New Madrid.
Her husband, son of Ernest and Margaret Moylan of Portageville, is the grandson of the late Ernest and Stella Moylan and Charles and Lillie Mae White.
Pianist Beth Cross of Portageville and soloist Don Phillips of Portageville provided music for the occasion.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless gown of candlelight satin. The empire waist was accented with pearls, the bodice was embellished with crystal beading and the A-line skirt featured a semi-cathedral train. The square cut back bodice was accented with pearl buttons to the waist. Her finger-tip length veil, which was edged with satin, was secured by a headpiece accented with satin trim. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink roses and blue hydrangeas with a mixture of garden flowers. She wore a pearl bracelet, a gift from the bridegroom, and her grandmother's pearl earrings.
Beth St. Mary of Portageville attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Walls of Portageville, friend of the bride; Erin Lange of Marston, cousin of the bride; and Emily Winsor of Portageville, friend of the bride.
They wore sage green dresses featuring a square neckline, short satin sleeves and bodice of embroidered satin. The empire waistline was accented with a satin band and featured a floor-length crepe skirt. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of mixed garden flowers.
Sunnie Marie Underwood, daughter of Mark and Monica Underwood of Portageville and niece of the bridegroom, served as flower girl. She wore a sleeveless floor-length candlelight satin tulle dress. The bodice was accented with rosettes around the empire waistline and she carried a kissing ball with mixed flowers.
Robert Barham of Portageville, friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Underwood of Portageville, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Barrett St. Mary of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; and Drew VanAmburg of Cape Girardeau, friend of the bridegroom. Greg Crysler and John Essary, friends of the bridegroom, were ushers and candlelighters. Austin Crysler, son of Greg and Vickie Crysler of Portageville, served as ring bearer.
The men in the wedding party wore black single-breasted tuxedos with candlelight shirts, black vests and bow ties. Each wore a single ivory rose boutonniere.
Megan Lange of Marston, cousin of the bride, was guest book and program attendant.
The reception was held in the church Family Life Center following the ceremony.
A rehearsal dinner for the wedding party, hosted by the bridegroom's parents, was held at Rivers in New Madrid on June 29.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the new Mr. and Mrs. Moylan are residing in Portageville.
