SIKESTON - Ashli Nicole Walker and Todd Andrew Jenkins exchanged wedding vows in a 5 p.m. ceremony July 14, 2001, at the Bement Baptist Church. Delbert Bishop performed the ceremony.
Cindy and Gary Floyd of Bertrand and Mitchell and Sherri Walker of Mississippi are parents of the bride.
The bridegroom is the son of Betty Jenkins of East Prairie.
Soloists Marty Nelson and Lisa Faulkner with pianist Melinda Nelson provided music for the occasion.
Escorted by her father and mother, the bride's tiffany design cinderella white gown featured double straps and a scoop neckline. The bodice and upper portion of the full chiffon skirt were embellished with beading. The bride's veil was attached to a beaded tiara and she carried a bouquet comprised of white daisies, roses and baby's breath, accented with greenery.
Serving the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Brittini Hillyard of Sikeston. Bridesmaids were Lisa Russell of Bertrand, friend of the bride, Kyli Walker of Sikeston, sister of the bride, and Amy Wren of Essex, friend of the bride. Madyson Walker of Bertrand, daughter of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Megan Allmon of Sikeston, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Thomas Jenkins Jr. of Kahoka attended his brother as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Brad Wren of Essex and Jacob Byassee of East Prairie. Brian Hillyard Jr. of Sikeston, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Stephanie Byrd of Sikeston and Kerrah Russell of Wyatt served as candlelighters and guest book attendant was Jessica Geers of Charleston.
Serving at the reception, hosted in the church fellowship hall, were Twan Robinson, Latoya Robinson and Heather Harrington of East Prairie and Penny Coffer and Jessica Geers of Charleston.
Following a wedding trip to the Lafayette House Bed and Breakfast in St. Louis, the couple is making their home in Bertrand.
