On Oct. 9, 2004, former Carnegie, PA resident Julia Scheel of Ocean Grove, NJ wed John Ginocchio of Brooklyn, NY.
A daughter of Rev. Russell Scheel (former pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Carnegie from 1981-1993) and the late Betty Heinzelman Scheel, Julia graduated from Carlynton High School in 1985.
She received an undergraduate degree in mass communications from Clarion University and a master's degree in communication arts from West Virginia University.
For the past eight years, she has worked as a sales & marketing executive for Forbes magazine in New York City.
The son of Martin & Sue Ginocchio of Lexington, KY, John graduated from the Sayre School.
In 1990, he received his BS degree in architecture from the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the honorary Tau Sigma Delta Architecture Fraternity.
In 1990, he moved to New York, beginning his career as an architect.
Following work in Rotterdam, Netherlands where he practiced with the firm Port-Said Design & Architecture, he returned to New York and started Ginocchio Architecture, where he practices today.
Following a wedding trip to Sicily, the couple will reside in Ocean Grove, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.
