Bogle - Harrell
COROLLA, N.C. — Emily Ann Harrell and Travis Lee Bogle were united in marriage on Sept. 6, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Ashcroft Cottage in Corolla.
The Rev. Jay Bowman officiated, and music was provided by Scott Franson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harrell Jr. of Suffolk.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Bogle of Salisbury, N.C.
The bride is the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Worrell of Newsoms, and the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Harrell Sr. and the late Robert Harrell Sr. of Suffolk.
The groom is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kepley of Salisbury and the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bogle of Salisbury.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride chose a gown designed by Allure Bridals.
The gown featured elaborately cut, delicately accented antique lace in pearl and silver. The bride wore pearl earrings given by the groom as a wedding gift.
Amy Finley, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included Stephanie Clinton of Chicago, Erin Soukup of Madison, Wis., Katie Jones of Chicago and Siobhan Sallow of Charlotte, N.C., friends of the bride.
Elizabeth Bogle, niece of the groom, served as flower girl; and the ring bearers were Ransom Finley and Wyatt Bogle, nephews of the bride and groom, respectively.
Barry Bogle, father of the groom, served as the best man.
Groomsmen included Scott Bogle, brother of the groom; and Frank Schneider of Washington, D.C., Todd Holt of Mt. Ulla, N.C., and James Rogers of Greenville, N.C., friends of the groom.
The mistress of ceremonies was Lisa Allen of Raleigh, N.C., friend of the bride.
Wedding planners were from Sugar Snap Events of the Outer Banks, N.C.
Following the ceremony was a brunch reception catered by The Good Life Gourmet.
The previous evening, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Ashcroft.
The bride is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in Suffolk.
She graduated from North Carolina State University in 2006 with Bachelors of Science degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry. She is employed by UOP of Chicago.
The groom is a graduate of East Carolina University, with a bachelors of science degree in 2000 and a master of arts degree in 2002.
He is currently working on a master of public administration degree through the University of Colorado.
Following a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will be working and adventuring on jobs with UOP throughout the world.
