Pamela Dawn Olin and James John Hurd exchanged wedding vows during a ceremony held Aug. 7, 1999 at Coronado, Calif.
Parents of the bride are Dr. Lester G. Olin and Patricia A. Cotten, both of Yuma.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter G. Hurd of Kingston, N.H.
The wedding was officiated by the Rev. William Hanna. Music was by violinist Janet Jones and cellist Kathy Younker.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a gown of white georgette over satin styled with squared neckline and lace and tucks at the waist. It was made for the bride at Theresa's Bridal Shop. The bride carried gardenias, stephanotis, star jasmine and roses. She wore a similar arrangement in her hair designed by Hector.
Jennifer VanBeek was maid of honor. Doug Hurd was best man for his brother's wedding.
The bride has a master's degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. She works at Ronald Reagan Fundamental School.
The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Colorado State University. He is a captain and pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps.
After a reception at The Island Club, with music by disc jockey Ed Bia, newlyweds went to Greece for their honeymoon.
